NextBook, a Chinese manufacturer of eBook readers, passed its Next6 eBook reader, pictured above, through the FCC today. The device features a 7.1 TFT LCD resistive touch screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, Android 2.1, 4GB of internal memory, external SD card support, and what appears to be a RockChip processor.
NextBook already offers two tablets, the Next2, which features a 7 inch screen, and the larger Next3, which features an 8.4 inch screen. Both devices rely on Android 2.1, and have access to the Kobo-powered Borders BookStore.
The Next6 is expected to launch in Q1 of this year for around $300.
